At the viewpoints located along the forest trail at Spegazzini Base, you'll enjoy the best views of Glacier Bay. From them, you can enjoy three glaciers (Spegazzini Glacier, Heim Glacier, and Peineta Glacier), the mountains surrounding the Bay, and the charm of one of the most spectacular bodies of water in the world.
On the shores of the majestic Lago Argentino, the new walkways extend 350 meters to the stunning Mirador De Agostini. Named in honor of the priest Alberto De Agostini, famous for his contributions to the knowledge of Patagonia, this viewpoint offers an unparalleled experience: a privileged view of the Spegazzini Glacier, the tallest glacier in the park, 135 meters above lake level. The walkways then continue to the new viewpoint...
We are pleased to announce the opening of a new extension of the walkways on the Spegazzini Glacier, which incorporates an additional viewing platform, allowing for an even more immersive experience of this unique landscape. This new observation point is closer to the glacier and even higher than the De Agostini Viewpoint, providing an unparalleled perspective of the eternal ice.
The observation decks are ideal spots for capturing the moment with photos and videos of the entire Spegazzini Base. They were made just for that!
Each glance will represent an eternal image in your memories, recalling your passage in front of the imposing Spegazzini Glacier, your sigh in front of the Heim Glacier, and your admiration while contemplating the Peineta Glacier.
